About White Dove Days
White Dove Days is a family-owned business, run by Cameron and Polly. Nestled in the Shropshire countryside, our beautiful white doves live a free and natural life.
White Dove Days was originally started in 2005 but our respective career commitments gradually took us away from dove releases. We are now pleased to be able to continue with the business and are loving playing a memorable part in so many people’s important family occasions, forever in your album and in your memories.

What White Dove Days’ Service Provides
Before your special day we speak with you about your wishes and arrange with you the best locations for our display doves and for the separate and additional release of doves from a heart-shaped willow basket.
The service includes:
- The siting of two beautiful hand-made display baskets at the entrance to your venue, one housing the female of the pair and the other the male.
Our baskets are made from natural willow and crafted by a local specialist willow weaver, using age-old techniques to create beautiful designs. Choose either white willow or buff willow baskets to complement your design theme.
These display doves are not released on the day and remain in place as a focus of attention and an ice-breaker for friends and family until the additional ‘release doves’ are let go. We can also provide additional display doves in baskets for larger celebrations.
- The release by the newly-married couple of a pair of doves from a heart-shaped basket. We can also work with your photographer to get the best recording of the release. As a complimentary add-on, we also endeavour to film the release ourselves and put it to a favourite song chosen by you.

After the wedding ceremony, you, the happy couple release an additional pair of white doves into the sky from a hand-crafted heart-shaped basket. The couple usually choose to stand either side of the mounted heart-shaped basket and jointly lift the lid, creating an exciting moment in celebration of their union. At the point of release, many a happy tear is shed among the guests gathered round…while those of a sterner constitution may only experience goose-bumps! The newly-weds and their guests can watch the doves soar across the sky and take a moment to ponder the poignancy of the celebration before the doves begin to make their way home to their countryside loft at White Dove Days, now that their work for the day is done.
